Priya Shimpi Driscoll
Priya Shimpi Driscoll brings the rigor of behavioral science to the challenge of making complex financial products clear and compelling for everyday people. A tenured professor and senior academic leader, she has spent her career studying how people learn, communicate, and make decisions, and applying those insights to product design.
At Mills College and Northeastern University, she founded and led a research laboratory for over fifteen years, studying language, cognition, and social development across cultural and demographic groups. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed research articles, led grant initiatives, mentored researchers and scholars, and held senior academic leadership roles including Associate Dean of Research at the college level. She has also consulted for educational technology companies for over a decade, bringing user research and curriculum expertise to product design and development.
At VivaLogic, she applies that same expertise to retirement. She leads the behavioral and design work that makes CLIP accessible to savers across multiple levels of financial fluency, conducting mixed-method user research, developing the language and framing of the product, and shaping the content and marketing across the platform.
She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Chicago and a BA from Indiana University. She is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship, the Phi Beta Kappa Excellence in Teaching Award, and served on the advisory board of ROYBI, named one of Time Magazine’s Top 100 Inventions of 2019.
